Mr. Douglas is HES PV’s Vice President of sales with thirteen years of technical sales experience in solar photovoltaics. While leading HESPV’s national wholesale sales team across Canada Mr. Douglas has worked closely with a wide network of solar installers. He currently sits on CANSIA’s board of directors and is the chair of the membership committee. Mr Douglas is instrumental in solving jurisdictional issues, managing product supply and ensuring customer satisfaction. He has also been a key speaker for seminars on government programs, financial incentives and detailed technical processes.
Mr Douglas has been involved with many solar working groups including the Value of Solar Tariff (VOST) discussion groups for the future of net metering in Ontario, the Halifax Solar Cities program launch, the Saskpower Saskatchewan Research Counsel grant and BC Hydro net metering discussion groups. Mr. Douglas was a representative for the solar industry and CanSiA’s Queens Park day in Toronto meeting key political contacts. His own pet project is researching the future of net metering in the United States and abroad to understand the utility/consumer relationship future that may develop in Canada. Through his role at HESPV he has developed relationships with key industry players, product sppliers and installers that are an asset in driving the industry towards growth.
